Spektaklis apie sudėtingas emocines būsenas ir šešėlinę žmogaus pusę, kuri dažnai slopinama įvairiais, kartais net kenksmingais būdais. Tai žaismas tarp kenčiančio žmogaus – menininko vidinių išgyvenimų – ir išorinio pasaulio absurdiškumo, persmelkto juodojo humoro. Šie prieštaravimai, nuolat peraugantys į atvirą konfliktą, perteikiami per šokio, teatro ir muzikos sintezę, reikalaujančią didelių emocinių ir fizinių pastangų.

Spektaklis inspiruotas nostalgiško 9-ojo dešimtmečio pabaigos ir 10-ojo dešimtmečio pradžios grupės „Mazzy Star“ skambesio bei prarastos maištingosios praėjusio amžiaus pabaigos kartos estetikos. Pasitelkdamas absurdiškus vaizdinius ir sąmoningai fragmentišką scenografiją, kūrėjas kviečia žiūrovą į kelionę po vidinį pasaulį, temdomą realių ir įsivaizduotų šešėlių. 

Į šią kelionę leidžiamasi su viltimi ištrūkti iš skausmo labirinto ir užverti jo duris, pakeliui ieškant sveikesnių būdų egzistuoti, gyventi ir kurti.

APIE CHOREOGRAFĄ

Lietuvių šokėjas ir choreografas Tadas Almantas mokėsi Nacionalinėje M. K. Čiurlionio menų mokykloje, studijavo Codarts Roterdame ir HfMDK Frankfurte, kur įgijo šokio bakalauro ir šiuolaikinio šokio edukacijos magistro laipsnius.

Kaip šokėjas pasirodė „Hollow Bones“ (chor. Jacopo Godani, Dresdeno-Frankfurto šokio kompanija, rodyta LAC Lugano), „Juodvarniai“ (chor. Lina Puodžiukaitė-Lanauskienė, festivalis „Euro-Scene Leipzig“) bei debiutavo Oper Frankfurt spektakliuose „Maskerade“, „Rosenkavalier“, „Norma“ ir „Boris Godunov“.

A dance-theatre performance exploring complex emotional states and the shadow side of human nature, often suppressed through various, sometimes harmful, means. It is a play between the suffering individual–the inner experiences of the artist–and the absurdity of the external world, permeated with dark humor. These contradictions, constantly evolving into open conflict, are conveyed through a synthesis of dance, theatre, and music, demanding significant emotional and physical intensity.

The performance is inspired by the nostalgic sound of the late 1980s and early 1990s band Mazzy Star, as well as the lost rebellious aesthetic of the late 20th-century generation. Through absurd imagery and deliberately fragmented scenography, the creator invites the audience on a journey into the inner world, overshadowed by real and imagined darkness. 

This journey is undertaken with the hope of escaping the labyrinth of pain and closing its doors, while searching for healthier ways to exist, live, and create.
